3. "My Story" Memoir Workshop!
October 12, 26 & November 9
10:15 am to 12;30 pm
You may be writing the story of you own life, or your mother's, or writing down incidents and episodes to share with your family, or creating a collection to hand down as a legacy to your grandchildren. These stories are very important! This intensive workshop will help you to hone your skills as a nonfiction writer and help you to "see patterns" in your work and give you tools to develop your ideas. We will read your work, critique it, and offer suggestions--keeping in mind how it fits into your larger collection, or if it's a stand-alone piece. Anyone interested in exploring creative nonfiction and memoir, or anyone experimenting with hybrid genres will benefit from this workshop! Beginners welcome!
